How do I prepare a machine for a cyclone?
Fuel it, move it to high hard-standing, drop the boom and blade, engage the locks, remove the key and chain it down if it is in the open. Afterward it becomes the clean-up crew.
What does a machine cost to run in the NT?
Diesel is dearer and dust is harder on filters than in the south, so budget more for consumables. The running cost estimator on this site takes your diesel price and hours.
Do I need a licence to operate a mini excavator in the NT?
Not on your own property. Construction and mine sites require a white card and usually a verification of competency.
